HI, I'M ANNETTE!

I have a unique relationship with each of my paintings. They are a physical communion with the strange, the spiritual, and the otherworldliness of beauty. I'm spoken to visually, and I respond visually, unconstrained and harmonious, in an expression like worship. I believe when beauty strikes the spirit, we draw closer to things of eternal significance. In shadowing the transcendent, and creating from it, things which exist presently, my work departs its context in pursuit of an abiding reality.

I was born in Texas, and I've been painting professionally for three years. I'm currently based in Amarillo, and I'm working on a series of western landscapes. My favorite thing to do is take a small pack outside and work plein air in the big blue sky.
